Tracey Legat formed G2G in 2005 with the primary focus of helping United Kingdom tourism businesses market themselves in the United States and vice versa. As a native New Yorker who has lived in the UK for the past eight years she has a unique ability to understand the small, but meaningful, differences between the two cultures and navigate between them. She now is based in the Adirondacks of New York State.
Tracey has been involved in marketing tourism businesses and their events for the past 10 years. Before founding G2G she was the General Manager of Brantwood, an historic house in the Lake District of England. While at Brantwood, she was responsible for increasing visitor numbers by 11%, raising visitor spending by 27% and securing free editorial worth over $200K in 2003 solely on the promotion of the reopened gardens. Brantwood had a busy schedule of outdoor theatre, concerts, educational courses and events for which she was responsible for the planning and marketing of.
Since founding G2G, clients have included some of the largest tourism businesses in the Lake District. Tracey developed and implemented Marketing and PR strategies to improve their profiles in the US and the UK through, among other things, attending trade shows on their behalf, creating and managing press release mailings to qualified journalists and designing and implementing quarterly e-newsletters to interested individuals.
